The city-state of Comama was primarily known as a Roman province, although it is located in Asia Minor. It is put into the geographical region of Pisidia but in actuality it is located in Pamphylia Secunda and it is bounded on the north by Pisidia. This coin was struck around the time of Octavian, later Augustus. The original name of the colony was Colonia Iulia Augusta Prima Fida Comama. There was an imperal road that went through Comama which brought more visibility to the small town.
